file formats
<earshot> uses the QuickTime library to load and play
sounds and supports
most popular sound formats except for Real Audio. Files with
the following
suffixs will be loaded into the spike:
wav, aif, aiff, aifc, mov, au, mid, mp3, swa, mpg, mpeg, snd
As <earshot> uses whatever version of QuickTime you have (except QuickTime 6:- <earshot> currently does not work with this version),
your mileage may vary.
Note that
<earshot> will
load movies as well and use only the sound track in your compositions.
A version of <earshot> currently in development shows the video track
as well (as well as
QT streams, JPGs, GIFs and text files!).
