1. <earshot> is a Java application and as such requires Sun Java
Virtual Machine (JRE) on the PC or Apple Macintosh Runtime for Java (MRJ)
for the Mac. PC users who haven't got JRE installed on their machines
should choose the installer with the VM included option. Most Macintosh
users already have MRJ installed but if you experience problems or poor
performance with the application you may need to upgrade to version 2.2
which you can get here. 2. All installers require that Apple QuickTime for Java is installed on your machine. This is part of the custom QuickTime installation. QuickTime for Java may already be installed on your machine. IMPORTANT NOTE: At present <earshot> does not work with Quicktime 6. It does work with earlier versions. We recommend installing QuickTime 5 Mac users can download QuickTime 5 from here. PC users can download QuickTime 5 from here. 3. The older installation page with smaller installers (<200K) and additional installation notes is available here. Only use these if you are confident about running Java apps on your system or experience problems with the installers on this page. Please do contact us if you have problems. |
